Assistive Technololgy promotes greater independence by enabling students to perform tasks that they were formerly unable to accomplish, or had  difficulty accomplishing, by providing enhancements to or changed methods of interacting with the technology  needed to accomplish such tasks.
It doesn't always have to be hardware devices or software but can be tools accessed on the internet. Our new Assistive Technology website will evolve quickly, providing information and resources to teachers, students and parents in our schools.
